RESOLUTION

Reality does not change
when you see more of it.

Resolution is how much of Reality's existing structure an observer can distinguish.

The terrain was already there.
The map became more precise.

LOW RESOLUTIONHIGH RESOLUTION

SAME REALITY.
DIFFERENT RESOLUTION.

Gravity did not begin
when we understood it.

Gravity was already operating.

Increasing resolution revealed that apparently separate events shared structure.

Nothing was added
to Reality.
The observer
could see more of it.

GRAVITY → HIGHER RESOLUTION → STRUCTURAL MODEL → ENGINEERING → SKYSCRAPER / BRIDGE / ORBIT

Better resolution
changed what we could build.

Once a relation can be seen and modeled with greater resolution, action can account for it rather than accidentally fighting it.

Not perfect knowledge. Enough resolution.

Why not with
ourselves?

Different structures. Same demand:

See enough of the structure

Low resolution
sees the event.

Higher resolution sees the structure that made the event probable.

This is the ontological resolution PrF is concerned with.

The observer
is also structure.

REALITYOBSERVERMODEL

Belief, identity, language, discipline and narrative can help compress Reality into usable maps.

But the map is not the terrain.

The purpose of greater resolution is not to eliminate maps. It is to remember what they are maps OF.

Higher resolution does not guarantee good Direction. It only improves what can be observed.

The more you can move,
the more resolution matters.

The resolution
of the observer
must match
the resolution
of what it can move.

PrF is a change
in resolution.

Not another story about Reality.

An attempt to look beneath the stories toward structure, relation, weight, probability, direction and consequence.

The same way gravity changed the resolution of how we build, PrF asks what changes when we increase the resolution of how we observe structure itself.

The comparison is methodological, not a claim of equal scientific status: gravity existed before its structure was well understood; likewise, PrF proposes that the relations it describes precede our terminology for them.

NOTHING CHANGED.

ONLY THE RESOLUTION DID.
